Linda Bauer Darr, president and CEO of the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA), will visit Stevens Worldwide Van Lines on Feb. 3. Ms. Darr will meet with administrators and staff, as well as conduct an interview for Stevens’ monthly training webinar for agents. The AMSA is the national trade association for the professional moving industry.
After the visit at Stevens, Ms. Darr will attend the Michigan Movers Association Convention and Annual Meeting in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
Ms. Darr, who has nearly almost 20 years of experience in transportation policy, association management and government relations, has served as AMSA president and CEO since April 2007. Her experience includes senior positions with the American Trucking Associations and the American Bus Association, as well as serving during the Clinton administration at the U.S. Department of Transportation. As Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget and Programs, she oversaw the development of a $60 billion annual budget for the department and interacted regularly with senior officials in the administration and at the White House and with members of Congress and their staffs on a wide range of transportation policy issue.
“We are delighted that Linda is spending time here at Stevens,” said Joseph Biskner, president and chief operating officer of Stevens. “As the only national van line headquartered in Michigan, we are proud to host her when she visits our state.”
