Lindsay Stevens-Eggers to Speak on Panel for Great Lakes Bay Economic Club

Stevens Worldwide Van Lines is proud to announce that Vice President of Finance, Lindsay Stevens-Eggers, will be speaking as a part of a luncheon panel for the Great Lakes Bay Economic Club (GLBEC) at Saginaw Valley State University on January 25th, 2016.

Bay City Central High School and Bay City Western High School students will be in attendance and discussion will focus on family businesses and how they got their start. Other panel members include Rebecca Cox of Savant Group and Kathie Fuce-Hobohm from SPACE, Inc.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to speak to local young men and women about the opportunities and challenges that come with operating a family business. Encouraging young people to consider a career in entrepreneurship has been my family’s passion, and it has led to our co-founding and involvement with the Stevens Center for Family Business at SVSU,” said Lindsay Stevens-Eggers when asked about the panel.

The Stevens Center for Family Business at Saginaw Valley State University has provided resources and support for the unique needs of family owned businesses since 1999. The Stevens family has been heavily involved, beginning with Morrison Stevens, Sr. as one of the original founding members. Today, Pete Stevens sits on the Executive Council.

Formed in 1973, the GLBEC encourages the exchange of ideas on economics, business and policy through meetings with high-profile speakers. The club provides a forum for business people in Michigan’s Great Lakes Bay Region to interact, network and share economic knowledge. Membership is open to all who have interest in promoting discussion, debate and appropriate action on the economic issues of our time.
