Pennsylvania bank unveils plans to relocate corporate headquarters

National Penn, the fourth largest bank holding company in Pennsylvania, recently announced it will move its corporate headquarters. DailyFinance notes that this business will transport its central operations facility from Boyertown, Pennsylvania, to Allentown, Pennsylvania, which is roughly 29 miles north.

"We have developed a forward-thinking relocation plan that will improve employee collaboration, enhance customer service and maintain our strong focus on growing the National Penn franchise," Scott V. Fainor, National Penn's CEO, told the news source.

Company officials anticipate the corporate headquarters will be moved to downtown Allentown by fall 2014. Additionally, roughly 275 staff members will be relocated to the Allentown office.
