Financier Ralph DellaCamera is moving the East Coast headquarters of iServe, his residential lending operation, from Westchester County, New York, to Stamford, Connecticut, according to the Hartford Business Journal. He will be bringing 50 employees to a downtown building.
The move is part of DellaCamera's shift toward being more involved in the mortgage industry, the Connecticut Post reports.
"It's definitely more rewarding," he told the news source. "It's the American dream to own your own home. In the hedge fund business, you're always asking for more money. In the mortgage business, you're handing out money."
The move to Stamford is indicative of the city's economic growth and efforts to become increasingly business-friendly environment, according to Stamford Mayor Michael Pavia.
In addition to its welcoming corporate climate, Stamford is also attractive to DellaCamera for another reason - it is his home. The Connecticut native has lived in the city for the last 25 years.
Even though it is close to his home, iServe is still moving out of state, which means the relocation might be an involved process. Professional relocation movers can help ease the transition by providing sound advice and reliable service.
