Murphy-Hoffman, a regional truck dealership located in Kansas City, Missouri, will relocate its operations to Leawood, Kansas, which is approximately 20 miles south of its present address.
"The company has enjoyed stable growth over the last three decades and has outgrown its space in Kansas City," Murphy-Hoffman spokesperson Michelle Fau told The Kansas City Star.
According to the Kansas City Business Journal, Murphy-Hoffman will move to the Tomahawk Creek Highway Medical Office Building at 11120 Tomahawk Creek Parkway. Murphy-Hoffman purchased the building in July 2012 and plans to transform it into an office setting.
The Kansas PEAK program will help Murphy-Hoffman get its feet off the ground when its staff arrives in Leawood. This financial-incentive program allows companies in Kansas to retain up to 95 percent of their employees' income tax for up to 10 years, and was one of the driving factors that led Murphy-Hoffman officials to pursue the relocation.
When businesses relocate, they can easily transport their employees' possessions by hiring relocation movers. A relocation and moving company provides packing tips to companies that enable them to move workers' belongings to new headquarters.
