After briefly contemplating a move to Texas, Smoothie King has decided to keep its corporate headquarters in Louisiana. The Times-Picayune reported that the franchise plans to relocate to Metairie from Covington, and will add 60 new jobs once the process is complete.
The company has over 600 branches throughout the United States and was recently sold to a South Korean company, which precipitated Smoothie King's plans to move into a new facility. In addition to new jobs, the new headquarters will also give the company a break on its lease thanks to a Louisiana Economic Development grant.
Smoothie King only has 45 employees in its corporate building, but moving even a small team with limited resources can be difficult. The relocation process will not be overly complex in this case, as the company isn't moving out of state.
Enterprises that are considering long distance relocation can use Stevens Worldwide Van Lines. The international moving company's out of state movers can help businesses quickly and safely transport all necessary equipment so that work can quickly begin in their new locations. This can help make moving and expansion simple by eliminating many logistical hassles.
