TopGolf, an operator of golf facilities and entertainment centers across America, is relocating to Dallas, according to D Magazine. The company will be moving out of state from Chicago to a well-known office building, 17Seventeen, in Uptown Dallas, where it will occupy 14,350 square feet on the eighth floor.
"17Seventeen was a natural fit for our high-end entertainment concept," said TopGolf's real estate director Zach Shor. "The building, management, and surrounding Uptown area are exactly what we think TopGolf is - best in class."
The company is 12 years old and originated in London, and has since grown into one of the most successful sports entertainment chains in America. The relocation is part of a broader strategy to expand its reach, and the company hopes to add more than 150 corporate-owned locations around the country, according to Chicago Business Journal.
TopGolf has made a name for itself by tailoring a golfing experience specifically toward recreational and entertainment-seeking players. It uses microchips in its balls to track accuracy and distance, giving participants a level of understanding and information not possible in a traditional golf setting.
Companies moving their headquarters may want to consider using relocation movers to help keep moves on track and stay out of the rough.
