The field of emergency services has grown rapidly over the last several decades. Perhaps no company illustrates this trend more than Air Evac Lifeteam, a provider of medically based air transportation for rural communities. Since its formation in 1985, the company has grown from one helicopter at a single site to a network of more than 100 bases in 15 states.
This rapid growth has precipitated the relocation of the company's headquarters to position itself for future expansion, the St. Louis Business Journal reports. The new offices will be in O'Fallon, Missouri, a community near St. Louis.
"O'Fallon was a good choice for Air Evac Lifeteam because it is centrally located to our service area," said Seth Myers, the company's president. "It provides access to a major airport hub for quick dissemination of parts and supplies to our bases and to the additional people and resources we need to maintain and build upon our continued growth."
The new facility is more than 52,000 square feet and will immediately house 120 employees, with 70 more expected to be hired by the end of 2012, according to the news source.
A company that focuses on medical relocation, Air Evac likely knows the inherent complexities involved in a move. Hiring professional relocation movers can help ensure a smooth ride.
