In April, Stevens Worldwide Van Lines celebrated employee milestones for outstanding effort, and held multiple employee development sessions at its 16th Annual Stevens Van Lines Recognition Ceremony and training event at the Valley Plaza Resort in Midland, MI.
Awards for total customer care, sales, years of service, and professional van operator, among others, were presented. Notable accomplishments were celebrated, including Driver of the Year, Jim VanHaaren, who received an incentive for his exceptional quality work that sustains safety compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
Vicki Bierlien was recognized for over $3M with the Individual Sales Award. Other individual sales awards went to Dave Mocny and Jeff Abraham with over $2M; Joe Zabukovec with over $1M; Doug DeMarois, Rick TerBush, Alan Cousino and John Hopkins with over $750,000; and Steve Barber, Kevin McKenzie and Jeff Thomas with over $500,000 in sales.

Several customer satisfaction teams went above and beyond all year. For company-owned agencies, the teams of Pete Stevens and Carmen Pulifico received recognition; Rich Evasius and Bob Brisebois teams were celebrated for records; the move centers of Shawn Knapp - Domestic Military, Tammy Schillace - International Military, Robin Gacek - National Account, Vicki Bierlein – Affinity, Lori Ramsey - International HHG, and Janie Graves - International General Commodities all received awards for their outstanding efforts.
Service awards were given to many, including an inspiring number of individuals who have dedicated 25 years to Stevens Worldwide Van Lines. Those with 25 years included Pat Bourcier, Alan Cousino, Gary Crews, Carmen Puliafico, and Julie Zehnder. Mary Smith received congratulations on her retirement.

Employees participated in professional development and continued learning activities. The “University of Total Customer Satisfaction” program presented a range of quality control and process reviews, from Electronic On-Board Recording Devices – electronic driver log books that sustain compliancy, safety and accountability – to industry best practices and packing and loading procedures.
