Stevens’ employees at its headquarters and Saginaw, Michigan division will make donations to the Sexual Assault Center at Child & Family Services of Saginaw in exchange for the ability to wear jeans to work on Fridays during April.
The Sexual Assault Center provides services to victims in several mid-Michigan counties. Services include:
Crisis Services/Sexual Assault Response Team – forensic nurses, sexual assault center advocates, law enforcement and medical professionals who provide immediate care for victims in a non-threatening environment
Victim Advocacy – trained personnel who provide assistance to crisis line callers
Counseling Services – clinicians who are specially trained to address the sensitive issues linked to sexual assault
Prevention/Education – partnerships with schools and worksite workshops geared toward awareness and education
A committee of Stevens' staff select the charities based on the opinions and requests of colleagues and administrators.
