Stevens is pleased to announce the winners of scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year.
Each recipient is the child of a Stevens’ employee and was selected based on a combination of academic achievement, honors, community and school activities and career goals. The scholarships amount to up to $1,000 each.
The scholarship recipients include:
Bridget Flanagan, a freshman at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich., majoring in mechanical engineering. Ms. Flanagan’s father John Flanagan is Stevens’ Manager of Quality, Safety and Fleet Services and has worked at Stevens since 1994.
Jessica Curtiss, a sophomore at Mott Community College in Flint, Mich., studying biology. Ms. Curtiss’ mother Lisa Curtiss, a two-year Stevens’ employee, is Stevens’ Department of Defense Quality Analyst.
Timothy Deneen, a sophomore at Lansing Community College, in Lansing, Mich., studying diesel mechanics. Mr. Deneen’s mother Bonnie Deneen is Stevens’ Accounting Manager. She has worked at Stevens since 1984.
Kimberly Bourcier, a junior at Saginaw Valley State University near Saginaw, Mich., majoring in business management. Ms. Bourcier’s father Pat Bourcier, an employee at Stevens since 1987, is the general manager of the Stevens’ Waterford, Mich., corporate-owned location.
